Am I crazy, that I feel way more festive and celebratory on New Years than Christmas?

I don't know why, but something about New Years makes me

Christmas has turned into consumerist money grab by Corporations into get people to spend 10x more than they want to, under the guise of "Celebrating Jesus"

New Years is just simple, it's a new year, you look at the year that is about to be over in retrospect, what defined the times. It has more historical meaning to me, and it's not a forced day as well, it speaks for itself

It’s the more family friendly of the holidays season imo.

Christmas seems like a “chore” but new year is more exciting.
