am i the only one that likes Untouchable more than Scarface - Diary???

i agree wit Rakim... Scarface was a rapper that became a lyricist over the years... Getto Boys - resurrection album and Untouchable made me realize Face was a little nicer than the average Mc

No, I do too. I felt like he got even better as a songwriter specifically. Scarface is one of the best songwriters in music, not just Hip Hop. His writing in my opinion is up there with Bob Dylan and Sly Stone. I also enjoy the production a lot more on Untouchable. The production on that album was ahead of it's time.

I was just about to make a thread asking why Scarface isn't considered the g.o.a.t. too.

i don't believe it..maybe a song or two(i.e "southside")..but overall, his lyrical content was more impressive on untouchable, and the beats sound outdated on the diary compared to untouchable

On the diary he was on some street shyt

He was on untouchable...but it was on some boss type street shyt...well, For Real, he was on some bum level hustlin shyt (which was my fave song on the album) but overall that shyt wouldnt have meshed well

especially on the beat part

the diary is flames but that shyt feels like its only 30 mins long when im listening to the whole album...idk, never looked at the time, but its like illmatic length

No way that's true...the flow and style are completely different on diary and untouchable...pure duck tales on that one

i trust the nikka who said it....

because he produced majority of rap-a-lot shyt includin the diary and untouchable...

n.o joe has no reason to lie folk...

he even told me to add a couple songs to specific places to the diary

like after white sheet goes no warning

replace one with southside...

take away minds playin tricks on me n add sunshine

and smartz after southside.....

smartz had a entire different beat..


lil j was known for holdin shyt back on face...then later droppin whatever he wanted under face name...

look at my homies pt 1 n 2...my balls n my word and the facemob album silence n devin didnt fukk with shyt else that wasnt his ...kuz of how face n j tried to cause friction between the odd squad n devin..
