fukking Richard Daley sold the rights for a 1billi cash exchange to balance the budget for one fukking year. He gave them a 75 year contract to the rights of the meters AND the city has to pay the company if they do things that cause meters to not be in use e.g. construction. LAZ Parking is the name of the company that services our meters but its owned by a Saudi conglomerate. Its the worst fukking shyt ever. The city would have made more sustainable long term money if they just rose meter prices since they were super low before being sold.

Yup, and all that other shyt they talk about is how we get pundits on TV summing shyt up. That said, nothing the politicians are doing is in secret: the shyt is in our face. We just dont have time or desire to pay attention all the time, but thats how you end up with bullshyt like here in Chicago with the parking meters being owned by Saudis for the next 68 or so years.
