Am I the only one who hates the phrase "Generational Talent"?

In the 80's you had MJ,
90's Shaq might be the most dominant center of all time, Duncan is widely regarded as the best PF of all time, then there's Kobe.
00's had LeBron, maybe Oden if he was healthy.

10's have Anthony Davis, but for many his stats are meaningless without deep playoff runs, Embiid is in the same situation as Oden(although that depends on whether you consider Embiid a true rookie)

I think in most decades there is one player that sets himself apart from all other Hall of Fame candidates and has their story intertwined with the story of the NBA.

Uhh, for me that description has merit. There are a ton of stars or HOF players, but very few generational talents...people who redefine the game or just do it at level that's head and shoulders above peers.

Wade has/had generational talent injuries just didn't let him stay at that level long enough to matter. Same could be said for T mac
