Am I the only one who thinks a Robocop remake was unnecessary?

yeah the first one was pretty good. fukk hollywood and their unwillingness to take risks. i swear the type of movies that comes out is so repetitive. there's nothing that's out of the ordinary. half the movies made before 1990 would NEVER happen anymore.

Yeah, this is basically it. Hollywood is a disgrace these days. I guess its cause movies don't bring in the cash they used to back in the day so they are all scared to take a chance on original ideas.

PG-13 Robocop :comeon:

:what:

PG 13? Are you serious? Another reason for me not to watch. :camby:

Aren't most remakes?

Yeah but I understand if you remake a flick that's like 40 or 50 years old or a flick that wasn't that good to begin with. The 1st RoboCop joint didn't come out till '87 and its a certified classic. shyt, even both sequels were dope. What is the logic in remaking this movie? Really.

Yes, you are the only one who feels that way. This topic has not been discussed here. People haven't been shytting in the costume design nor the PG-13 rating since it was announced at all. Everyone here has been super excited about this remake, and all remakes for that matter. Between this, Total Recall and Teenage Mutant Ninja Aliens, this is a great time to bare witness to Hollywood creativity at its finest.

I figured the thread had already been made but I didn't find it so I thought I'd make it. Link to the biggest thread on the subject, please?

I won't go with it being unnecessary because someone COULD (probably won't) have something new to say through that story and that character but I will say I'm not excited to see it and the only reason I am is because I bought Escape from NY on blu ray and got a free ticket to catch it:manny:

I think the reason they made it PG 13 is that they are targeting the young kids that never saw the original. If ur in ur 20's and up your gonna say fukk that, the original is already classic. Their marketing this to the young kids.
