If all it came down to was writing, Childish would be head and shoulders above Drake due to that alone as Drake doesn’t write his lyrics.

But when you add in creativity, vocals (Donald Glover can ACTUALLY sing while Drake is just a crooner) concepts, diversity of sound, and originality Childish Gambino absolutely shytS on Drake.


And yes I like Camp but i’d say my favorite album of his is either Because The Internet or 3.15.20. Because The Internet due to the creativity of the album’s rollout (The script he wrote, the short film, the videos, and the tour were all designed tie together and create a specific world for which the album was the soundtrack) 3.15.20 because of its themes regarding love, loss, and fatherhood.

Donald Glover as a writer is better than even Kendrick Lamar in my opinion. Kendrick has better flow and deeper subject matter and they’re even conceptually. Thats a better comparison because comparing Childish to Drake is an INSULT to Childish Gambino and his talent

Bro's whole identity for a long time was insanely corny punchlines (I'm heading west like I'm fukking blowing Kanye) and rapping about Asian girls.

Camp was garbage and he hit his stride with BTI, royalty, etc and the loosies he were dropping between then. I fukked with the longest text message and a lot from that time but LMAOOOOO

I still really really like Gambino but between his recent interviews and his inability to explain what this is America is about, the falloff of Atlanta, etc. I'm genuinely confused.

He's above Peele in entertainment but definitely under Kendrick when it comes to writin songs

Donald is easily the better singer and anyone who says otherwise is a liar. Drake has a weak singing voice and could never in a million years make something as soulful as Redbone or as smooth as Sober. I will say Drake is the slightly better rapper, Donald's rapping can come off pretty try hard. But overall I think Donald is much more talented.
