Am I wrong for not hanging out with my college buddy because I would be the token black male?

We were very cool in college and part of the same friend circle and we both ended up in ATL. If he hangs with me, he will be the token white guy, if I hang with him, he will be the token black guy. I would not mind if his group of friends were more diverse but I would literally be the token black guy. At a bar, I don't necessarily have to talk to just him and his buddies but I don't want to sit at a table with nothing but white people. I don't mind a diverse group of friends but I would be the only black guy. That bothers me lol. Their idea of a good time is going to a bar and getting wasted. I am not really about that.

I can't count the times I would hang with my Spanish homeboy and be the only dark skinned person much less English-speaking. . But .. that was my dog so it didn't matter

If you go college learn how to mix with white people.
White college boys are almost all basically the same so learning about them and their nature will help you navigate the white workplace/corporate world where you may end up in the same scenario again.
