I remember he wore this and people were pissed :russ: Calling it unprofessional. My how times have changed
It really is funny how there was so much outrage at the slight perception that he was going against the unwritten norms.

Look where we are now :dead:

the 2008 housing crisis wiped out half of black wealth and he didn't cause the housing crisis. so if you want to say a president did it, then dubya wiped out half of black wealth.

And I hate this website for a source but please read. Not only that him continuing the Afgan War, making it easier for gig economy jobs, ignoring black brutality by police but instead funded them more, etc. I'm not the one for "bashing" Obama but the facts are the facts.

That’s true but in 2025 what’s the purpose of beating that dead horse ? I bet if you turn back the clock she was one of obamas biggest supporters
Real talk. No matter what you thought of Obama then how the fukk does that change things now. You got a convicted felon tearing shyt up and about to possibly get us into world war 3. I think Obama did some indirect policies/things that were good for black people but like everything the dems do it isn’t shouted from the rooftops like the Rethugs. Isn’t Seales constantly shytting on black men anyway?

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
nikkas and bytches who have been openly online shytting on black figures is getting way too comfortable
It’s one thing if these were discussions offline and actual solutions were being presented to the black community only
Or said talking heads actually showed what they were doing to better everyday black peoples lives around them instead of mouth breathing into a microphone
Then I would give credence to an argument
But these same simple minded muthafukkas have given white liberals life and room to critique black officials now and beyond
Nobody sees how this rhetoric gives others batteries in their backs to shyt on black folks by proxy or bring out the tinfoil hats
Y’all gon learn about these cornball black academia types
Both men and women
They talk a good game but hate themselves the most

He didn't do much for Black folks but he was a great president and a stabilizer for our nation. None of this chaotic energy we've seen with Trump twice and to a lesser extent Biden. Which is all you can ask for out of a prez

She should probably shut up
Best answer so far

"Between 2007 and 2016": any analysis that has to include the start of the great recession just because hey that's the 10 year period that includes his 8 year presidency is going to be flawed. the data has to be shaped to match the argument and you can't just use his actual term to make that argument you have to start 2 years prior when the major damage started. even with that they admit "black wealth recovered its 2007 level by 2016. But average black home equity was still $16,700 lower." while home equity was still lower in 2016, i guarantee you home equity recovered significantly after that cut off. the fact that during his presidency black wealth recovered to pre-recession levels as they admit is a good thing.
