They should have been able to coexist. But the major problem Melo had was with Dantoni anyways...once he was canned, Woodson installed the iso heavy Melo offense that he was comfortable with. Kidd was huge that year and Tyson was awesome. Once JR went all JR against the Celtics things fell apart....and the Knicks have sucked since.
