Little Rock (Izabela Vidovic), Tallahassee (Kirk Ward), Wichita (Maiara Walsh), and Columbus (Tyler Ross)

Amazon has confirmed that it has greenlighted the pilot for the TV adaptation of the cult film Zombieland, adding to its growing roster of comedy pilots heading to Amazon Instant Video and LoveFilm. Leaked casting sheets and script excerpts had suggested work had already begun on the series, but Amazon has finally confirmed it will offer it exclusively to subscribers of its video streaming services, allowing viewers to determine whether it will be made into a full-season production for release on Prime Instant Video.

A big the reason the movie was well received by critics & viewers was because of the cast. So I don't give a fukk about this show, I think most people would rather have seen a sequel. Plus, it just look like Amazon, is just trying to capitalize on the success of "The Walking Dead". Who Cares!

The cast was unique, sure, but with the exception of Harrelson and Murray the other 3 were pretty much unknowns. NOW they are stars.

So what makes you think they can't do the same thing with the TV show.

Zombieland was successful for its fresh take on the genre. Just look at "Warm Bodies". Just as successful (money wise, ZL slightly better reviewed) but without a unique cast. The cast was actually pretty weak IMO but it still did well. Got people in the seats.

It's the fresh take Breh's.

Eisenburg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin were all relatively known before zombieland, I remember those 3 actually getting me more hype to see the movie, especially Eisenburg.

Eisenberg did Aventureland that same year and what else?

Emma Stone had Superbad but pretty much nothing else.

Not exactly Academy material.

They have nothing but those two movies, and im not talking about obscure stuff that no one saw on their IMDB page.

No clue how you were hyped to see either of those two. :leon: maybe Breslin since Little Miss Sunshine. But the other two? Really?

The Bill Murray cameo had me :deadrose:

Thank God no one ruined it for me. I had no clue who "BM" was and no clue about the cameo.

You're assuming that everyone saw the movie when it was in theaters. I saw it almost 2 years later after it came out. So I was already very familiar with Eisenberg & Stone, and they were a bigger draw for me to watch it than Harrelson and Murray.

Well for 1 thing the new cast is playing the exact same characters from the movie. It'll be 1 thing if the show was animated or the new cast was playing different characters. But I think most people who loved the movie & the cast, are just gonna ignore this show.

My first thought was they should just have it be in the same universe but different characters....BUT

How would they incorporate the rules then?
