I think monopolies should be legal....let me explain myself....an example of what I mean is that we don't need 50 different burger chains randomly spread around [roughly 30 of which wouldn't operate at a high enough level to offer better deals], we need maybe 10 or 20 at most operating nationally....

The overall number of bigger businesses being less would offer greater uniformity and focus, leading to greater efficiency....labor and resources wouldn't get spread thinner to satisfy a more numerous and varied level of operation within the overall grouping [illustration - it's easier for one truck to haul a full load of beef patties from point A to point B only at a set price, than for it to distribute only fractions of it's load to multiple points at different pricing plans]....

It's just more efficient for fewer monopolies to operate, rather than a greater number of businesses operating at varied degrees....really my thinking is medium level companies are the issue and should be absorbed by the largest ones [operating as independently owned subsidiaries that are regulated by their parents]....smaller businesses, mostly local, could be numerous and offer more consumer variety at less affordability....

Besides, the model of multiple businesses competing with each other ultimately does not drive down pricing through competition - as there is commonly strategic collusion between major companies to use similar price ranges to optimize profit margins....in order for the type of model I'm talking about to work it would require a regulated form of capitalism....an auditing of the big businesses to assess their efficiency [they should be expected to operate at a high level of combined quality and affordability]....and financial assessment of upper class individuals....

Being rich is cool, but wealth is an economic vacuum that harms the circulation and balance of resources....higher class businesses and individuals should face regulations and taxes that identify and repurpose wealth....

Yo, you're absolutely right....playing fair doesn't pay bills, it just gets in the way of a good time....net worth reflects only what you possess, and how much it possesses you....
