:patrice: Breaking Bad is done and Mad Men is in its last season.

All they'll have is Walking Dead which gets good ratings but not the critical acclaim.

The Killing
Low Winter Sun
Rubicon

were failures
The Killing didn't get the ratings tey probably wished for but it was NOT a failure. It had an established fan base. My mom was hooked on it and was so pumped when they announced it for that final third season after it was cancelled. Plus Netflix picked it up for a 4th and final season.

Rubicon? Sure.

I've never seen Low Winter Sun, but I dunno how they lost with Mark fukking Strong and Lennie James as the leads. I say fukk it, throw out that show, but insert those two in another. Until it fukking works

It had an established fan base, sure there were people pumped it was brought back. By the middle of the first season, the show was getting trashed by viewers and the critics. The backlash from the season finale was unlike something I've ever seen.

It got canceled the first time because of bad ratings.

It was brought back, got essentially the same ratings and was canceled again.

But the thing is with AMC, we have to throw in the age factor for the amount of time they've actually been in the original programming market. They're still relatively new at this:ohhh: as opposed to the other networks that have been in the game for decades and decades. Yes they're gonna have some failures.. what network doesn't:childplease: For them to come with three classics in their initial stages as a programming network is amazing! Remember it was only a few years ago that AMC wasn't shyt but nonstop dusty black and white classics day in and day out. Its like ya'll dissing a little kid that hasn't even grown up yet. Let them boys stick they chest out:salute:

Don't forget they had 'The Killing' as well. I haven't watched it yet but it got good reviews

I was gonna co sign but then I saw their roster. They really got that Product. Even if it don't last long, they got enough reason to let it hang right now

Season 3 was dope. The way the show should've been from the start. It's just that all the red herrings and the bullshyt with them stretching the case into season 2 left a bad taste in peoples mouths. Vena Sud's 'holier than thou' attitude also hasn't helped one bit.

But let's be real. Breaking Bad is done, Mad Men is done next year, they lost The Killing, Low Winter Sun got cancelled, and I don't even know what's up with Hell On Wheels. I think they sent that one off to die on Saturdays. Now they're stuck with Comic-Book Men:gag: , Walking Dead, and a bunch of other trash reality shows. The only upcoming show I see coming up with any potential for them is Better Call Saul which is a spinoff of one of their two best shows.

Walking Dead is a good but not great show(at least not on the same level as BB and MM), but it succeeds in being a monster as far as ratings go. AMC struck gold in picking up those three, but everything else they've put out have failed in one way or another. AMC is young in the TV programming game and hopefully they get they shyt together, but there's only so many times you can split a season in two in order to prolong the content you're actually putting out.

Now The Sundance Channel which they own looks like it's going to be putting out some heat on the low. Rectify was a surprisingly good show. Looking forward to season 2 of that.
