Let a breh get one as a wedding gift in october breh so I can sli like you lol. How many fps on 4K can the 1070 and 1080 do?
not 60, probably 2 can't do 60 yet either (but it'll be close). I game at 3K mostly now, with my ultrawide, and 2 should be more the adequate for 60fps at that resolution (3440x1440). We're probably still a generation behind, if you want all ultra, 60fps at 4K. 2 Pascal Titans can probably do it (though, those are like 6-8 months away)

Damn fareal thats what probably heating up my CPU all that time. :ohhh: I have a r9 290x as well.

Yup throw that shyt in the bushes breh. I thought it was my heat sink or the thermal paste so i spent money replacing those. Then after that i thought it was the cpu itself. But as soon as i put in that gtx 970, my cpu never went over 50c since.

Amd products are good for low budgets but u get what u pay for and they overheat your system due to the high power consumption. And i have a 900w gold certified PSU

water cool your 290x. My friend did that with an H60 and he said he only gets into the 40s when playing games. He claims you could do that with 2 290xs, but I'm skeptical, unless you have a case that can accommodate 3 radiators :francis:

Why you downgrade though r9 290x better than 970 I believe

my bad it was the R9 270x. Black Saphire edition. Point is AMD products will over heat your shyt. Even their CPU's run high.

I was an AMD fan because of their most bang for your buck deals. But all my AMD builds would run hot as fukk regardless of my setup and cooling system.

So did AMD fix all of their heating and energy efficiency issues or nah?

Cause if you get AMD vs Nvidia card that are even from a technical standpoint the Nvidia card is going to blow it out the water when it comes to heat and energy efficiency...

You start talking about Crossfire with AMD cards then you better know what you doing inside your box or that heat is going to

Your PC is going to use more power on that AMD card, which is going to translate into a higher electric bill:ufdup:

There is more to GPU's than just how smooth they run a game:ufdup:...until i see some real world proof AMD has fixed these two things they aren't even an option for me

I haven't bought AMD shyt since two years ago. I'm still running on my fx-9370 which runs hot as fukk. I gotta reapply thermal paste every few months or so just to maintain a decent temp while gaming. I'm just waiting for this CPU to crap out or get a good deal on a i7 and intel MB to throw AMD in the bushes altogether.

Dunno if any of their recent products have fixed the hi temp/voltage usage or not but either way, I don't have to worry about that shyt and AMD should of fixed that long ago but they didn't so fukk em
