While on her trip to Ghana yesterday, kamala harris announced a 1 billion dollar investment for women's empowerment. Kamala harris' trip was meant to bring africa and america closer together since america is worried about Russia and china's influence in africa. She also promised 100 million to fight terrorism. So no investments in infrastructure or heavy industry.... just more guns.

Bolster the economy my ass. If they wanted that, they empower all aspects of Africa and not just part of it. Leaving men out in the cold will result in more violence if other aspects are not changed or highly educated women working low level jobs far below their expertise that will not help them, much like how it is now or a brain drain overall.

They just want to regulate population growth, much like how they've been doing in India.
‘Women’s empowerment is key to population stabilisation in India’

And they've been open about what they want to do in Africa. The media has an obvious bias in ignoring the problem with imbalance.

I'm not against educating women but you should educate men as well. That and I can't bring myself to trust western governments in Africa given their track records nor the officials to have the presence of mind to work to mitigate any problems that may arise.

Observe what this bedwench is doing. Promoting Black African women to put in place a matriarchy. Same with these cac led aid groups. Promoting "women empowerment."

All to undermine Black African men.

So now TLR cares about African men ? It’s not HYON anymore ?

You must be gullible if you believe that money going to African women lmao

Tbf, the United States govt is spending hundreds of billions in Africa .

The vast majority of it is going to dudes. It's sensationalism to be angry about a miniscule amount of their funds being set aside for women.

You run the risk of sounding like these anti-affirmative action Asians getting their panties in a bunch cause 2% of black people get into colleges/corporate boards. Believe me breh, this won't tip the scales

Its not a big deal . For example, I had to visit several US embassies abroad, in multiple nations in Africa during covid (cause the stupid reentry rules kept changing) ; and every single embassy had economic outreach programs and incubators for the general population.

I understand this. My issue stems from seeing and actually living through Boko Haram coming about and how a decent portion of that was a bunch of young, disaffected dudes priced out of the game due to lacking in various aspects, one of them being education and turning to terrorism as some sort of cope. I would hope it is aimed at actually helping women but I can't help but feel that when there isn't anything done to increase jobs, decrease unemployment, stop brain drain, fix many of the other issues and so on (Ghana has some similar issues), it fills me with skepticism.

I'm probably being paranoid but I barely trust African politicians. I trust American ones even less.
