When you're an American staring dejectedly into a future in which Donald Trump is a viable candidate for president there's only one thing for it.

Move to Canada.

Google searches for advice on this costly yet ever more necessary venture spiked dramatically after Trump's victories on Super Tuesday.

The unpredictable billionaire businessman and reality TV star who began his campaign as a fringe candidate, won seven of the 10 states up for grabs - Georgia, Alabama, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Virginia, Arkansas and Vermont.

Infamous for his calls to build a wall across the Mexican border to keep immigrants out, Trump may now have to consider building another in the north to keep emigrants in.

In the past week Trump failed to distance himself from the Klu Klux Klan, was mocked for having bad make-up and small hands by one of his main GOP rivals and drove a sitting Republican Senator to publicly contemplate quitting the party in protest at his candidacy.
