I did the same, but I owe 10k. Now, I'm trying to get a grant for community college. Never will I take out a loan again.

What state do you live in? Try to find a cheap school, I know HBCUs are close to community college prices.

The school i transferred to is 14k a year for tuition alone. I commuted from home so i didn't pay for food and a room.

I'm going back to my community college for a two year, then transferring. Thanks for the heads up and I'll keep that in mind.

Oh okay. I do agree that our public educational system is in a crises. Especially, k-12 public school. The curriculum has a lot of flaws and doesn't prepare these kids for the real world and college.

Too much focus is put on education in the first place. Opening it up to everyone will uplift and further other demographics without really providing much advancement for blacks according to most studies.
We shouldn't champion this...
At least not till our community changes its outlook on education.

Because I got my associates in business administration and I learned almost nothing. It was 99% memorize and regurgitate.. or information I already knew.

Personally, I plan to major in Human Services, so I can do community outreach/organizing. I'll probably venture into the political field later on. I do want a skillset in physical-fitness/personal training though.

Yeah, peace was only very recently achieved in 1998 with the GFA. And some paramilitary groups are still active, though on a much smaller scale.

This is why I'm so happy I live in Scotland, not only do I get free tuition but since I'm responsible for a child I get housing benefit from the college to help me pay the bills.

There's more people aye but the USA also has way more resources to put into it. It's the richest country in the world and should be able to provide higher education to people who want to pursue it.

Look at literacy rates. High school completion rates. Then tell me that this would be a good idea...
