the one in SF is huge. I stumbled in there one time after getting all zooted on hippy hill. almost didn't make it out![]()
Yeah hippy hill is dope..but the ameoba in LA is a little bigger..they also have one in Berkeley that's not as big as SF tho

Saw Boots from The Coup at the one in Berkeley na few times.....Asked him when they were gonna drop Steal This Album.......Time be flyin![]()
I seen boots in target playing video games 3 years ago..planet Asia used to work at ameobas in Berkeley back in the days I heard in the buy/sell counter..ameobas was the first ones to buy the living legends albums back then when they were selling them in front on the street,,they def support real hip hop..

In store shows at Rasputins and Ameobas. Bay rap cats slangin tapes outta trunks of cars in parking lots and in front of record stores. Done seen everybody from Silkk and King George to Agerman, DJ Shadow and Tajai tryna promote and slang tapes.
Cats really don't know how long and deep bay area hip hop waters been runnin in them streets. Whats funny is I used to search high and low for a copy of Stackin Chips on disc before the internet really started crackin like that. Searched every single Ameoba, Rasputin, Warehouse, in the state of Cali I swear, sh1t was outta print, outta sight
Came across a used copy in a dusty azz mom n pops store in LA that was shuttin down, and even that one was a "promotional copy"![]()
I got a promo or club edit of stackin chips on vinyl..it only has like 6 songs..can't find it at the moment..I've copped a tape from king George back in the days..seen him a few times,,that fool is still salty about the no limit thing..I dunno..even if he was on no limit, it prob wouldn't of mattered anyway..it's not like anyone really blew up out the 30 artists they had and had major success on no limit..
