I used to take Greyhound all the time when I was little, and I'd be coming to NC with my mother. It wasn't too bad. I even used to want to be a Greyhound bus driver lol :russ: We'd get the bus at Port Authority in the city, then ride through the night, stop in Richmond, and then it would make lil stops along the way till we got to our stop (I think it was Goldsboro or something). But then when I got older I took the Greyhound to come back to NC for my grandmother's funeral. Still operating off what I remembered from growing up, I got my ticket, but didn't know that we had been riding an EXPRESS bus. My situation was that we had just had my son; lil niigga would be up all night and sleep during the day. So I was thinking that sleeping on the bus would be like :ahh: My bus left at like 11:30 at night; I'm ready to get some Zs. It seemed like I had just fallen asleep when we pulling into a station and the lights are turned on. I'm thinking "man, we in Richmond already?" Niigga, we was only in Jersey somewhere. Bus stopped like every 45 minutes. Got NO sleep. Wasn't till I saw my mother when I got to NC that I learned I should have booked an EXPRESS ticket.

Amtrak is cool, definitely a lot more comfortable than the bus. I just don't like the delays that come with it. When my mother comes back from visiting her friends in NY, I'll go and pick her up. The train almost always winds up being 60-90 minutes late.

Amtrak is too expensive for what you get..you might as well spend a extra 50-100$..and fly...and you get there faster.

Now greyhound you pay for what you get..the service is not bad..it's a wildcard of what you get on the ride.. the only draw back are the people.. you can see some weird shyt on the bus and in the stations...but grey hound is good for the dollar:yeshrug:

back in college Amtrak cost almost as much as a plane ticket. Later for that. If it was gonna take me 6 hours to get home for $300 I'd just pay the $75 for the bus ride and 8 hour trip.

Depends on the situation and where you're going. I wouldn't advise riding the train Upstate New York beyond Albany. It is much faster to take the bus. If you are going to take the bus, go with Bolt or one of the newer services. If you don't mind a long ride and spending more, take the train.

I've heard some horror stories about Mega Bus. My wife wanted to go on one to go see her sick family cause I couldn't get away from work, but I wasn't having it, we just drove up on the weekend.

The Truth
Amtrak

Buses are trash

Then, not only does the train got wifi... They rarely got anyone there. You always got empty seats.

I wanted to ride to Vegas but I would've had to take a bus after landing in LA.

Plus you can get a fukking table, some have a bar, some buses don't got toilets, etc

Amtrak is expensive as hell. Esp if you buy last minute like I always do.

That said..it depends on where Im going. When I travel from DC to NJ for the holidays, i always take the Bolt Bus, and it cost at most $37 on peak travel times.

The ride is nowhere near as comfortable as Amtrak, but i can bear that shyt for 3.5 hours for the pricepoint. If a trip if over 4 hours, Im either Amtrak or Flying depending on what the cost is looking like.
