They were divided and conquered. Three solid black candidates split the black vote, all the cacs and sand cacs voted for Shri and now a majority black city will be represented by an Indian. Shri Thanedar ran commercials non stop on the top black Detroit radio stations FM98 and 92.3 and tv commercials 24/7, I'm sure he got a few black votes too. I'm disappointed and angry.

Just asking a question, did having a Black person in this seat accomplish anything in the last 30 years for Detroit? Why didn't Detroit rally around one of the Black candidates? Conyers didn't have anybody in the stable or did his ouster from Congress kill all of that?

:gucci: this isn't horrible unless this dude's policies are. An ally is an ally, if he is an ally.

They weren’t divided and conquered.

A bunch of black people ran to seek power, they cannibalized each other and Shri came out on top. They did that to themselves.

Shri is going to vote the same way any other person would’ve that got that seat so In reality it really doesn’t mean anything
