He's providing a solution but this isn't an invention or new discovery. The actual issue was lead pipes and corrosion in the pipes. The water would be the same except in the air it's not contaminated by the water infrastructure underground, has not flowed through the lake into dirty pipes. The issue was never the water it was the delivery channels as often is when infrastructure is neglected. Which is what cacs did in flint
