An Open Letter To Black People Interested In Survival

Dear Black People,

Not every Black person trying to capitalize off a product, a set of skills, or a service is ripping you off.

Just because someone looks like you, sounds like you, and has a similar life experience as you doesn't mean they're crooks out to scam you. A lot of you seem to think that if a business person has Black skin it means they're open for endless scrutiny and questioning. Not the case.

Do you ever go into a transaction with a white person with such a critical eye? If so, how do you get anything done? Next time you try and scrutinize the sh!t out of a Black owned business operating in a field that you don't understand ask yourself "When was the last time I questioned a white owned business this much?" If you can't figure out the answer to that then you need to STFU and do business.

Also, asking for free sh!t from a Black person trying to make money is one of the most insulting things you can do. Do you ever ask Walmart for free sh!t? Hell, do you even ask the Indian at the corner store for free sh!t? No and no. Why? Because you respect these business. Have respect for your brothers and sisters that are trying to come up. Cut the monkey sh!t out.

If we don't cut the monkeying around we will be eliminated forever.

Your kids will have no places to work. No institutions to build with. No networks either. Your children will be at the mercy of those who are descended from their oppressors. As you can see that mercy is running out.

I always think about my stint in corporate America. I was on a team with 4 white guys named Brian from the suburbs. The manager was a white guy named Brian. He was from the suburbs, too. They were all Cubs fans. They all looked out for each other. Never criticized each other in public either. Nothing. Just cutting each other deals and stacking bread.

I always think how there's absolutely no environment like that for Black men to thrive like that. It doesn't exist. Largely because we don't work with each other in a productive manner. Largely because when we get together we want to fvck around and tear each other down or nit-pick over some bullsh!t.

It's fvcking outrageous. I see this sh!t on here every day. I saw another thread where the TS was asking how to avoid helping his family get on board with his hustle. People were consigning that sh!t like it was a baller move or something.

Just ass-backward thinking on one hundred.

Man, we could be doing great things on this website but we're obsessed with just flinging poo at each other nonstop.

You can't send your kid to college knowing that a Black owned corporation will be there to hire him even if it's for a drone position because we don't support our own business ventures.

bruh where i work im the youngest person there and the only black person here
the only other black person here is the janitor it kills me bruh seeing her sweep the floors n shyt
its almost like the overrall representation of blacks is horrible besides me...
however everytime i go out of my way to to business with blacks i get dissapointed
at some level you're going to just have to adapt instead of help because it only hurts you in the long run
