Rewatched this for the first time in years back in October. I really forgot how much of a piece of shyt Jon Voights character was. I wonder if O'shea Jr going to sign on. I also like the joke people have that Anaconda is a sequel to Friday. As it's Craig's new job after getting fired on his day off.

Anaconda was another movie swagger jacking Jaws with the same formula, however it did have some cool moments and the bad guy was perfect in his role being the piece of shyt.
This already looks like it's gonna be a comedy rather than a movie that's made to scare you.

This reboot is an obvious watch tho just to see how much they are going to lean into nostalgia

They rebooted Piranha in 2010. They'll probably go the same route with this movie. The original Piranha wasn't very serious and I don't think Anaconda was either.
