Not every team owner and GM is depending on analytics. Those teams usually are going on other stats and gut feelings because they have more play money.
If your team is strapped for cash, then you piece together a team with what you can afford to increase the win percentage, like the Oakland Athletics. Moneyball. Anyway, the next NBA season is far off. All these trades are just teams trying to make it happen. In the end, it's all just money. If you don't make it to the championships, you still earned millions of dollars. You really didn't lose.
