Another person from South Carolina (and for that North Carolina and Virginia) whose African DNA is mostly from the Kingdom of Mali (Northern Ivory Coast, Northern Ghana, Mali, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Senegal, Gambia, Burkina Faso) and the Kingdom of Kongo (Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola).

If African Americans took the time to learn the history of the Kingdoms of Mali and Kongo; and about the contributions that the Mande (Manlinke, Mandinaka, Mandingo, Bambaran, Dyula, Susu, etc); Fulbe (Fulani) and Kongo people made to the USA and the new World in general then they would be floored. Absolutely floored. The music, culture, crop knowledge; knowledge of animals, etc.; is just absolutely ridiculous. Much more advanced than people know. If they knew anything about their ancestors; then they wouldn't be claiming no injuns or whites.

And they'd be tryna visit their real HOME first instead of visiting that disgusting wasteland known as europe :snoop:

Republic of New Afrika
"Ireland, 3 percent -- awesome, going there in February"
"Britain, 2 percent, also going there in February" :skip: :skip: :skip:

On the real though, these tests are cool, but people need to be aware of their shortcomings and realize it isn't a substitute for doing genealogical research.

I watch a lot of these videos and it seems like more and more people that are taking this test are seeing higher percentages of african blood. :jbhmm:

i've legit seen some folks with >=95% african blood :wow:
My 90% sister :blessed:
Same percentage as me :obama:
That black folks on average having 75% african dna always looked funny in the light to me :patrice:

"The Lion King" is based on the life of Sudiata Keita the Emperor of Mali.
ERIC - The True Lion King of Africa: The Epic History of Sundiata, King of Old Mali., 1994-Nov-18
Sundiata Keita - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Just Google Kingdom of Mali and Kingdom of Kongo. There are lots and lots of books on Mali and Kongo. Those are really good places to start to learn the history of the people that most African Americans are descended from.

I just finished reading an article called "Bound to America: The Mandinka legacy in the New World".
https://muse.jhu.edu/article/187892/pdf

All of America's musical history; including Country music, is literally tied up in the people of Mali and Kongo. Just an amazing history.

im talking about people like this
theres a lot of people like this claming black american

and then there're people like this guy who is pretty dark skinned but he still only has 73% african ancestry.

so its not only lightskinned people bringing the avg down. though i've seen some lighter skinned folks with over 80% african blood on youtube
