i know i went in a bit on jay z this past week when i was sayin' b.i.g. was the goat
but the truth of the matter is jay z from the 90's era on has been the most consistent mainstream mc all across the board
he been the only MC to carry hip hop on his back since 98' and hold it down
i'm not sayin' everythin' he's done has been classic but he's definitely put out his fair share of great material
jay has been the 1 to hold it down from a real mcs' perspective in ways many of his peers haven't been able too

but i'm curious to know what y'all think ?
