Do what you best at, for some people its school, for some people its college. Most of those 100k debt philosophy majors got paid parents who going to turn the electrician company over to them anyway:francis:

Student debt isn’t even that bad when you actually tried in High School and get a lot of financial aid from scholarship, your parents should be paying for your school (this is not the child’s responsibility), take the cheap school throwing financial aid money like a private liberal college (the tuition is high on paper, but these schools are dying and are throwing financial aid to make the cost significantly lower)

Alright breh we get it you didn’t go to school
You're not wrong but most of us didn't take high school seriously, and/or had poor mentorship (someone pointing us in the right direction.) Now that I'm older and more mature I've pondered things retrospectively wishing that I had taken my studies more seriously.

College is a scam. They get you coming and going. It is an out dated system that costs too much. You're education is important though if you want to excel in life. Its something you have to make the best situation out of even though it shouldnt be that way. That is unless you go the trade route.

I know alot of people with trades making over 100k easy...I also know alot of municipal workers here in nyc hitting 130 and over.
I don't know many people with bachelor's and masters doing those same numbers, but it could be the company I keep.

I’m convinced the college is a scam just didn’t reap the benefits of college, smashed no ho’z and have no friends. College is worth it for the socializing alone

I get the point of the picture but......they basically take the worst example for a college degree/experience and then match it up with a great trades scenario :manny:

College isn't for everyone.

Trades aren't for everyone.

You gotta find your own lane. At the end of the day...whether you work as an apprentice or do trade school, or go to college, you're still going to need some kind of schooling AFTER high school. Tradesmen gotta study and learn just like college kids.

You dont have to only apply to jobs you majored in. Idk why people always think that. I work for a large telecommunications company and plenty of people there have non technical degrees and earning six figure salaries.

That said, NO you should not get that much debt for a non stem degree, and trades are a good option.

If you're majoring in finance, accounting, business, MIS, it is definitely not a scam. You make that money back and more with a bachelor's or higher.
