And Paul is a better scorer :stopitslime:

Do you think the Cavs would prefer Green trying to win the series with his offense & passing, or Thompson clearing the glass.

Has nothing to do with pure scoring but the versatility out on the floor.

Its basically mismatched with Curry, Green, 1 of Klay/Barnes vs Thompson's rebounding

I'll go with the former.

:dead:

Paul Millsap averaged 17/8/3 on the season, Thompson did an excellent job on him, but you're acting like he'd be overmatched by Green. Or, even worse that it's a "mismatch"....as though Thompson is a lumbering center.

We can revisit this and I want you to own it when I'm right.

Either way, Golden State has plenty of mismatches and the Cavs don't.

Amazing, so the Warriors putting Barnes on Thompson and expecting him to keep Tristan off the glass isn't a mismatch, but Thompson defending another PF is.

Curry is a baller. Deserved the MVP. Been destroying teams in the playoffs. But people overlook the fact that he hasnt had a pg near as lethal going at him. I dont know what happened to Jrue Holiday. Mike Conley was still somewhat injured and then you got Jason Terry.

Its too bad Kyrie wasnt fully healthy. Cause we'd at least make the case he had to deal with Rose and Teague. But still he got enough of a "look" against good guards.

Steph..idk. If Kyrie isnt healthy it wont matter. Cause Steph will feast all series. :manny: Although its just the regular season, I dont think its a coincidence Steph scored just 23 and 18 against him in each game. Its helluva lot different when the guy you're facing is a supremely talented pg as well.

Its why I think LeBron will ball out. No offense to Barnes. But he's not going to make him work like Leonard did.

Again, if Kyrie is half stepping.....Steph is going to dominate. Cause he wont have anybody making him exert a lot of energy defensively....but if he's not...
He didn't even guard Conley, Klay/Iggy started guarding him the entire time after game 2 when he went off for 22 points on 8/12 on Curry

Adrenaline-fueled or not, the effort was enough for the Warriors to alter their defense and not only switch Klay Thompson onto Conley but also play him tightly and relentlessly. When it isn't Thompson, it's another strong defender such as Andre Iguodala taking that responsibility.

Even though the Warriors lost Game 3 with the revised strategy, they could see it working. Conley was only 3 of 10 and required a postgame IV after cramping up for a second consecutive game. He was only 4 for 15 in Game 4 and afterward confessed both the Warriors and the injury are starting to wear him down.

You might be right :manny:. Kyrie usually projects his confidence more. You would think especially at his first finals. Then again maybe he just trying to play it low key...catch em sleeping..

I think all the injuries have taken a lot out of him mentally. It is a lot to deal with especially when your team is counting on you.

I've conceded Thompson will get boards but it won't be enough to compensate for all of the Warrior's advantages :manny:

Then you should go to Vegas, bet your life's savings and post pics of dem stacks when you win at da end, cuh. :krs:

Right after you post the pictures of Lebron's babies all over your face :krs:

The Warriors advantage right now is depth, it's not some overwhelming mismatches they have because the Cavs small lineup has been excellent and matches up well.

The two teams are very similar, and if Kyrie is healthy this will be the first team they've played with two elite offensive threats. The Warriors have the edge, but this isn't some David vs Goliath series.
