My biggest takeaway from this though is the video announces the fact that he's still on Aftermath but not under Interscope. I wonder if they passed on distributing him or if their deal with Aftermath is done.

Interscope is basically brand new since jimmy x dre left ... wouldnt b suprised if they signed him direct through aftermath // pretty sure COMPTONs reease didnt got hrough interscope i could be wrong .. however

Compton was definitely released on Interscope. Every Aftermath album/artist ever up until now has been an Interscope release.
pretty sure connors deasl isnt thru interscope either .. dre might have bounced after the apple deal and said imma fund it myself .. with jimmy and a brand new team there he maybe was confident in them working the machine the same way
