Since signing with Aftermath Entertainment back in January of 2016, Anderson .Paak has released a lot of music—but none of it has forecast his chemistry with label founder Dr. Dre. Heads, of course, heard a taste ahead of the contract, thanks to Dre’s 2015 Comptonalbum. The good doctor co-produced “Deep Water,” with DJ Dahi, Focus…, Cardiak, and Dem Jointz, as well as “Issues,” again alongside Focus… and Dem Jointz, as well as Neff-U. Both tracks featured then-apprentice Anderson .Paak, who was throughout the #2-charting Aftermath release.
Anderson, who has worked with a litany of other profiled producers such as 9th Wonder, Hi-Tek, and Madlib, told Australia’s Triple J Radio that the chemistry is soon coming to the public surface. “[Dr. Dre] had a heavy role in this new album that’s almost done,” said the twice Grammy-nominated NxWorries co-founder. “[We are] just going through the mixing phase. I won’t say any dates, but you can definitely expect it [in 2018], sometime.” The Oxnard, California representative added, “It’s dope to be around like legends like that, and you can feel the mutual respect. That’s what I always did it for; I wasn’t really thinking about money or fame. I just wanted the respect from the people I look up to, musically.”
I think this album is going to be majority produced by Dr. Dre and Dre produced many R&B tracks for artist and he produced a classic R&B Album
