I would cite it as an example of some kid just trying to sound smart. Claiming True is wack. The beat is okay. Seriously: nothing on SouthernPlayalistic was great lyrically and most of it is ass. Same with the Chronic and most of 36 Chambers. See where I'm headed? All three important albums with mad appeal BESIDES the bars. All three heralded great things in HipHop, but for someone looking to zone out on BARS SouthernPlayalistic is just filler.
We might just disagree on what constitute dope bars but again: nikkas are claiming 3K is top 5 DOA. cee-lo made a comment on the vh1 driven episode sometime after speakerboxxx/the love below. what he said though is open to interpretation because its vague. he said i probably shouldnt say this, but in the beginning andre wrote everything. im paraphrasing a little because i dont have the video in front of me.
yes that could mean andre wrote all of spcm, or it could mean when they were doing songs pre spcm that those were written by dre, but the spcm songs big boi wrote his own material. if anything im inclined to believe the latter.

I love Outkast, I grew up on those Albums in Atlanta... But the last real Outkast album. (Stankonia) was released over 12 years ago... It's rare in rap to have 15-20 year careers. For now I am just letting this go, I'll bump Aquemini, ATLiens, etc going forward

ass nikkasone thing i was thinking is it seems like big is more talented musically. a more naturally creative musician/songwriter. his best songs have such interesting melodies and sounds:
andre is like a better lyricist and, i don't know, smarter (ie he doesn't say that he's a libertarian). but his own songs draw so heavily on the traditions on well-established genres (hey ya) or are just meandering and boring, like:
trying to get through 5 minutes of that, my god.
it's also like, and seems to have this idea of what "Real Music" is, and tries to hearken back to it. like when the love below came out, doing interviews and talking about how "I'm taking music lessons to learn jazz." or that dreadful dreadful guitar solo on gfid.
