Ok DULLARDS the reason why cultural is a real harmful thing and people call it out is because IT'S A WAY TO PROTECT YOUR CULTURE AND MAINTAIN A STANDARD OF QUALITY within it so it can SURVIVE LONG TERM. Hip Hop had that standard until rappers started claiming they weren't rappers, but hustlers, started spreading their asscheeks for corporate sponsorship deals and the fans went for it...why was that the big turning point? Because that no longer meant the rappers or the culture dictated the direction of the genre, the corporate business paying the rappers did...because THE RAPPERS NOW WORKED FOR THEM
And if you can't see how some dicchead like post malone walking around with braids, grills, double cups, making hip hop songs and then turning around and saying he isn't a rapper and doesn't make hip hop not only cheapens the genre but also makes the culture look like a joke then congratulations...you've got hip hop just how you want it

In general I think most people don't know what cultural appropriation is and instead make embarrassingly emotional arguments. Music is art, it doesn't "belong" to one group over another. Do what the fukk you want, dress how you want, wear your hair how you want. I don't give a fukk.
Now if you want to be a rapper and pretend like you invented shyt or had no influences (see: Iggy) then I got a problem. But if you're Eminem, big upping all the rappers that inspired you, grew up loving the genre, etc etc do your thing.
