Android - Copy/Paste

how do you paste within a field of text on android without highlighting whats in the field. i want to just move the cursor where i want to paste, but in order to bring up that option it automatically highlights other text that i dont want deleted - which is exactly what that does, causing you to have to type the shyt again. is there any way around this?

no, when you go to hold the button to bring up the menu to paste, it automatically highlights text. how do you turn that off?

don't you re-press the spot after it highlights everything then it gives the option to paste there?

no. repressing it makes the menu go away

it's like they assume whenever you go to paste something, it's gonna be in an empty field. that's fukking idiotic

figured it out. you just have to tap the bulb under the cursor after you put it where you need it and the menu comes up without highlighting

after the text is highlighted, simply press and hold the area you'd like the cursor to appear in and you'll have control of the cursor to move left/right.
