On Oct. 1, activist, educator and Black liberator Angela Davis encourages young people to vote at the “Many Rivers to Cross Festival” in Atlanta, Georgia.

In the clip above, captured by Atlanta Black Star, Davis says that she is not enthusiastic about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. But she states that Clinton will get her support in order to prevent Donald Trump from sitting in the Oval Office.

“There are numbers of people in this country — largely white people,” Davis starts, “who do not realize that their pain and their suffering is linked to the pain and suffering of Black people … The best reason for going to the polls is to allow the space to build our movements.”
