"To me, personally, I think you should be out of the game if you get caught," Trout told New York radio station WFAN on Monday. "It takes away from the guys that are working hard every day and doing it all-natural."

"Some people just are just trying to find that extra edge," said Trout, who is batting .330 with 20 home runs and 73 RBI. "It's tough as a guy that goes out there and plays hard every day and puts [in] 110 percent effort ... to wake up, see there's a list of guys that are on the list. It's good that MLB caught them and they're moving in the right direction with suspensions and stuff."

:whoa: that is a little drastic.....

I hope he ain't caught up in no mess in the future :mjpls:

like everyone, I am tired of these steroid scandals every two year, taking up time on sportscenter..:shaq2:

I agree with trout that there needs to be a new drug policy enforcement... because the players will risk getting caught up in something when it comes to signing a new contract or getting endorsement deals.... I rather risk and sign the big time contracts and risk the suspension... I know I will still get the money owed to me for the rest of my contract..... Most players are probably like :bryan:when someone threatens them with a lifetime ban.... what the hell I look like Pete Rose :stopitslime:....:win:....

Ryan Braun is probably like well y'all caught me... oh well:manny:... I'll just come back for the rest of my 10+ million a year contract money next year
:jawalrus:

I think all baseball needs to do to clean up the game is that under a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (if the player's association is really on board to clean up the game) ..... Every player's contract should have a mandatory clause in it in which everytime, you test positive for a PED or are found guilty in a PED scandal, you should automatically forfeit 50 percent of your base pay in your contract plus a suspension

say if you make 25 million per year and you test positive, that salary is going down to 14.5 million per year and you are being suspended 50 games

If you test positive again in the same contract, that salary is going down to 7.25 and you are being suspended 100 games.

If you test positive a third time in the same contract, that salary is going down to 3.625 and you are being suspended 200 games.

Hurt these players where it hurts most, in their pockets.... I guarantee you, established stars won't even risk it.....
