While a guest on ESPN.com’s True Hoops Podcast, Ethan Strauss elaborated on a little tidbit concerning the Warriors having issues that have nothing to do with basketball, and more about lockerroom incohesion.

“Is this malaise of theirs about not feeling motivated, not thinking they have something to play for,” said Strauss on the True HoopPod. “Is it just being tired? There’s one guy in particular on the team that keeps saying the same thing to me, and I can’t say who he is, but he keeps saying ‘We’ve got problems and it ain’t basketball.'”

“The Luke Walton question is an interesting one. I think what happened with Luke Walton in some ways speaks to some of the issues this team has where his success undermined Kerr’s authority,” said Strauss. “They played the best basketball they ever had when Kerr was not coaching the team, when Luke was letting them do a lot of what they really wanted and Draymond (Green) was essentially player-coach and that has ratcheted up the tension, I believe, between those two figures. And so it’s so hard to say. Is it because they miss Luke Walton? Or Luke Walton’s presence on the team and the success that came with it came to haunt them in some way.”

Most likely its Klay but it has everything to do with basketball, particularly the signing of Durant and the dismantling of the bench they had last season.

Now this I can buy....and I'm sure Dray and crew blame Kerr for being behind the GM in letting go of that bench .....:yeshrug:.....

But they were yes men too tho sooo....:francis:

I think a lot of it is basketball too. Kerr plays idiotic lineups (starting an absolute bum McCaw), drafts or signs off on drafting absolute bums (Mcadoo, Mccaw, Damian Jones), takes the ball out of steph's hands and makes him a 2 guard, subs Javale McGee out after he makes good plays, etc. it's no secret the warriors played better under Walton because he played to their strengths.

Kerr does a lot of goofy things trying to prove his system outweighs the talent which is obviously not true as we've seen with KD out. All that stuff weighs on a locker room. Picture walking out for the opening jump looking at Patrick McCaw next to you because your coach thinks he's the smartest guy in the room :heh:
