Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard says he had torn MCL, meniscus in Western Conference finals

Fans knew that Houston Rockets centerDwight Howard was battling a knee injury in last season's Western Conference finals, but according to Howard, the injury was worse than many people thought.

Howard appeared Thursday on the Houston Texans pregame show on SportsRadio 610 and said he played through a torn MCL and meniscus during the five-game series loss to the eventual NBA champion Golden State Warriors last spring.

So, he opted to not have surgery? For this to come out a few weeks away from the season opener without anyone in the org addressing it is weird. Regardless, Dwight dealing with knee issues for half the RS and then the postseason doesn't bode well for his long term health.

It makes sense, especially when you factor in the lost of explosiveness & agility after he took that hit to the knee. Roethlisberger took a similar hit and hurt his MCL as well. Hopefully dude is okay though cause as much of a corny bytch he may be, my rockets need him. :mjcry:

The article said team doctors said it wasn't serious enough for surgery
