These dudes rock their listeners to sleep by telling them what they want to hear and slowly sprinkle their real agenda in as they go along. I peeped game with another popular Coli daddy a while back. They all seem to use a similar playbook.
1. Identify a “common” enemy.
2. Tell us why this enemy is hurting “our” group.
3. Sell us products that educate us about that enemy or expose secrets or hidden info main stream media won’t.
4. Give speeches or hold events to galvanize the group.
5. Align the group with a political ideology and label themselves as something: Truthers, Patriots, FBA, Red Pills, etc.
6. Give that group instructions on how to vote or not vote.

I was going to debate him on "debt being your fault" but the way he has his show formatted is just annoying as hell and the line was too long at the time. It would honestly be easy work because although he is definitely educated in his field, his debate topics often leak into philosophy and from what I have seen, he is low-level and just hasn't ran into the right person. Most people calling into his show aren't in debate mode, don't understand rhetoric, and as a result, get pieced up by him.
Really, I'm just annoyed with running into so many black people that have "made it" in America and immediately turn into libertarian free will drones. Really, because I see his channel popup from time to time on my youtube feed as I am subscribed because I do enjoy him calling out scammers, most of the topics of debate I have seen him cover can be pieced up by anyone familiar with arguments pertaining to personal responsibility. It's much easier to argue against the idea of 100% agency than it is to make arguments for it, so anyone that happens to run into him should proceed as such.

Should be noted, I don't think the JT guy is as malicious as some are making it out to be, in his field, I couldn't hold a candle to him, but I'm working on getting a better understanding of economics, but the problem is that people like that take their analytical and "logical" (logic just means "what I think is right" to most) and apply it to philosophical areas that have a wealth of coverage on the topic but these people don't engage with that. They just lack a consistent basis and have never been pushed to discussing their priors, where most of what they think is right and wrong would begin to crumble before them when pushed on the topic.
Honestly, within the next year or two, I want to have a channel dedicated to quickly speeding people up on argumentation and rhetoric, while also covering channels such as JT and providing arguments for and against. I say "next year or two" because I have nursing school coming up but I will definitely get the channel up and running since I see it as a moral obligation and a failing on my part just going around debating in discord channels while people build their youtube channels up, influencing thousands on baseless nonsense. I'm not a philosopher but I engage with philosophy every day, reading every day, I see it as an obligation for "intermediates" to step up to the plate because academics are nowhere to be found while these channels unknowingly contribute to the corruption of thousands of minds, some of these channels influence hundreds of thousands and even millions.
