I was just thinking bout this shyt the other day.
Fact is rap went super commercial. Rap is arguably the most popular form of music among american youth today. And its been that way for a while. But the majority of americans are Non black. That means that these artists have to make their music appeal to non black people if they wanna have sell out tours and be all over mtv. No white boy wants to listen to songs about enriching the black community.
And yea that sucks or whatever. But there is nothing we can do to change that at this point. The most popular rappers are always gonna be the ones who appeal to the white masses. The ones who embody stereotypes and stunt in their videos with rented merchandise.
Like i said rap music is never gonna go back to the way it used to be. Ever. So people need to stop focusing on rap, and how white media portrays us, and start focusing on educating the youth within our own communities. Starts with us.
