The N64 was mid. It had first party classics (Mario, Zelda) and Rare’s games (Goldeneye, Banjo Kazooie) were piff… but the 64 had a weak third party lineup and very few RPGs or fighting games worth playing. The SNES is Nintendo’s GOAT console IMO.

I'd say 90% of the folks who say days before were the 'good ol days' are simply remembering a time before they had responsibilities. They just had a simpler life before they got knocked up or married.
