And they are not trying to Co-Opt it, they know know FBA at it's core, not what "actually it really is" folks are trying to make it, is sympathetic to right-leaning ideology AND parrots a ton of it's points including animus toward the diaspora. Folks are going to disagree but a hallmark of it isn't so much organizing in any meaningful way, simply othering and taking an about-face on pan-africanism. It's a different flavor of "They took out jobs" while cosplaying as blood and soil that whites feel entitled to.
Individually one might feel it's a means of staking claim to something rightfully owed (restitution for generational ills) but when the right sees it, they latch on because it's a chocolate flavor of a drink they've been serving the world for centuries.
