Honestly, there needs to be some type of stipulation put into rookie contracts that a portion of that money goes into a trust fund for the player after they retire.

Nah man, people would lose their minds. You heard him, he even said he had a financial adviser, but didn't listen. I was honestly ready for him to be like "I got cheated in a ponzi scheme" or some shyt, but he had a heavy gambling problem.

i had no idea how much antoine relate to me so much after going broke, i read on yahoo that son is on a diet eating cold cuts and cereal 
You don't need to be a financial guru to handle money..when you make a hundred mill even if u leave a quarter of it in the bank and live off the interest you can live extremely comfortable your whole life

coming in the league at 22 or 23 years old i can understand losing your money in the beginning , but he started falling apart in 2006,07 and 08 that's 10 years in the league u should been had knowledge of your bank account by then

Nobody gets hurt, everybody benefits. There are no downsides to it at all, except a rookie wouldn't have immediate access to say 20% of their first contract.
