Not a lot of more are more influential as Inoki. Not a lot of them were a savy at playing politics and carnyness than him either. Dude popularity was crazy too, he's one of the most important figures wrestling ever had.

A wrestler with big highs and low lows that was able to present wrestling as something different. In his later years he went too heavy on the "shoot" side and it never really worked. Last couple of years he looked really sick so I can't say I'm surprised by this, sadly.

RIP to a Legend. I was just listening to a podcast with Regal talking about his experience wrestling Inoki in the mid-90s. Crazy. Regal mentioned that Inoki tod him to hit him as hard as he could. Regal knocked the wind out of him & then Inoki legit choked him out :russ:

I'm actually surprised he was 79. I thought he was a lot older than that.
