Any Advice/Thoughts? Record Collection

Wasn't sure where to post this...I am finally designing my room and think I want to add a record collection. I listen to my moms back in Philly and like the sound quality, experience of records but does it trump the convenience of an electronic storage system (beats music, spotify, mog, etc.)?

My room is the size of a small studio and I have a couch, bed and small dining table. Tryna not to take up too much space but want to showcase it somehow. Does anyone have a record collection? Had one but wasn't worth the hassle?

The sound is top quality..what type of music? You can usually find obscure vinyl for a few bucks..

All types of music but mainly older stuff like soul, funk, jazz, blues, instrumentals. I'm wondering how people store them in a nice design vs tons of crates strewn around the room.

Just put them on a shelf or book case..it's easier to sort thru than crates and it looks nicer..
