I personally do not find it respectful for a non-American to call Black American names. Let's be honest, when they are saying Black as it pertains to who is an American, they are really speaking on Black Americans. Which is something they should not do, but instead focus on their own countries they reside in or the countries they like to wave the flags for. To come into our house and tell us how we should be, is absolutely disrespectful.
I don't tell Africans in the diaspora outside of the US how they should be, and I expect the same consideration for my ethnicity. Let us deal with our own, just like you should be dealing with your own. While we are distant cousins, we are neither the same ethnicity nor the same nationality.

Trump is bad for our race! I believe anyone who is black (whether they’re from America, Ghana, Brazil etc.) and supports Donald Trump has betrayed us and the rest of our race.

I did not confine my thread’s declaration to a national or geographic origin. To narrowly read the thread title is against the spirit of this thread and is ultimately unhelpful.
To be clear, as you may have noticed, I use the term African-Americans (a term I did not use in my thread title) to describe members of your ethnic group and the term “black” to refer to our collective race.
To refocus, why do you think black people on the Coli support Donald Trump?
We are not the same ethnicity. We are not even the same nationality. You speaking on us, would be like us speaking on your ethnicity. Just like it bothered you when he was talking about what is happening on the continent, is the same feelings some of us feel when you outsiders talk about what is going on among our people. You want us to not speak on your issues, then you give us the same consideration and not speak on ours.
We are outsiders to each other, respect that.
