I used to be a full time hope dealer. I had a drop in that was open for 12 hours at a stretch in a place filled with impoverishment where to most the concept of opportunity was spelled as "dead end". We'd kick it on whatever topic they wished to get some guidance on but the perennial faves were relationships, stress management, making some ends, how to do something diferent when everyone says it can't happen but that little voice within won't quit because it wants to manifest its wish. Those kind of things.
That was a really great phase of life that makes me smile thinking about it. Also taught me that free advice is worth exactly what they paid for it in the end as there is no value present. Plus having something on tap tends to make people dependent which was not the intent at all but no one wants to learn how to fish when you're straight up handing it to them on a plate after its been prepped by a gourmet chef.
