I’m 27 but I still want to have a sprint of around 11 or lower seconds well into my 30s. Any older brehs still achieve this

Great thread. I still run:

-sprints uphill 50 yard

-200 meter sprints

-trail run along bay Area elevated hikes

-Long distance steady state maybe one or twice every couple weeks

I try to hit every mode of running to be prepared for anything.

Sprints are important because you try and break out in a sprint without training and you will pull, tear, twist some shyt if you aren’t ready.

32.
I run long distances like 10ks weekly two other days I do hiit runs where I’ll run for 30 seconds at my max and walk for 1 min like 17 times
My sprint probably great because on my 10k runs I’m always going at my fastest pace of the entire run when I go all out on my 9-10km. :wow:
I love utilizing it while playing ball and its full court cuz due to my size im either at the 4 or 5 and I always get a big nikka that can’t keep up with me so I eat on fast breaks

Uphill sprints
Plyo
Weight training for explosiveness
Also run downhill to help increase your turnover (stride) rate.

That last part is a heavy fact. I essentially tried sprinting the other day for the first time since before the pandemic, and not only was I way slower than I expected, I damn near pulled my hamstring.
