Done it for a trade school for my associates degree. Managed to pay off the private, despite the fact that my dumb smoothed brain ass forgot to put down I had a job after a year of school, which cost me the ability to forgive that loan.

like 5k but I had a cosigner at the time. Also the monthly rate they approve for you to pay back the loan is enough that it wont break the bank but you'll never pay it off before 10-15 years.

Damn you can't get any federal loans? If that's the case go for it, just know they aren't eligible for federal benefits like PSLF, federal loan forbearance or any loan forgiveness
