I'm more of an east coast guy myself but working in IT you get quite a bit of job offers from west coast cities. These have popped up more than once in recruiter's messages and such. Of course California pops but but I'm not trying to get taxed out the ass and something about the hyperliberalism there irks me.

How are these places like for a black male if anyone has moved, visited, or lived there?

Seattle aint bad at all....don't think you won't get taxed up here though...it's expensive...if you are looking for an IT job they are plentiful...

I've heard but my friend keeps haggling me about interviewing up there but honestly the city never interested me.

Phoenix stinks

Seattle is ok but white people will be visibly afraid of you 24/7 if you're a black male.

I dunno about Denver, but I hear good things.

its actually a pretty interesting city....the weather sucks but in the summer it is one of the best places to be....its cheaper to live in the south end but of course there is alot of crime in that area....

You are going to be wishing for some of that hyper liberalism when you run into some of that hyper nikkawakeupcallism if you go to Phoenix. I spent a few months there and got more :mjpls: than I ever have in california. I can't speak on Colorado but I heard it's a little better compared to the rest of the mountain states for brothers. If you don't like rain, people who think they are the absolute pinnacle of civilization and a city that seems to have been dosed with a heroic dose of xanax as well as bad traffic, don't move to Seattle.

I meant hyper in the sense of gay this, feminism that. I feel you though. That helps. Kinda get that :mjpls: vibe where I'm at now among other things but my options are limited to my industry. Just getting opinions.

@AdvantageSouthpaw I'm born and raised in Denver. I think it's an awesome place to live (out of American cities). Of course every person is different. Some people will complain and not give thanks no matter how many blessings are bestowed upon them.
