North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
They will stick with the status quo, appease donors, and do whatever they can to hold on to power. Basically useless.

And the cac who just won governor of VA thinks that she won on policy when she only won because a bed wench MAGA good was the Republican nominee. Racist Virginians would rather not vote, and vote for her, and there was high Democrat turn out. I hate those types of Democrats.

There's nothing inherently wrong with being pragmatic, but that word has come to mean something totally different when used by certain people, especially centrist Democrats. It signals a default position of not even trying for more, when it *should* mean pursuing achievable goals through strategic, realistic means, not preemptively lowering the bar before a fight even begins.

You want an example of what I'm talking about? Look at the Welcome PAC "Deciding to Win" memo that pundits, party insiders, etc., are gushing over. It's a bunch of corporations first, voters second nonsense. They dress it up as "pragmatism" and "electability," but it's just a repackaged version of the same corporate centrism that failed us before by letting big donors set the boundaries of what's acceptable to fight for.

It's the kind of managed decline that's been slowly killing the Democratic party.

There's nothing wrong with running candidates who fit their districts or tailoring a message to reach voters where they are. That's just good organizing. But it still has to be people-focused and values-driven. This thing? It's hollow strategy. It's an excuse for cowardice. That groups isn't trying to meet voters where they are; they're trying to meet the need of corporations while flying the flag of pragmatism.

Americans do not care one way or the other about trans people, certainly not more than more pressing issues like the economy. Stop capitulating to and entertaining right wing framing on these issues.
