Did my first gig last night... and it was terrible, at least in my opinion. I learned a lot about the game and myself that night though, so now I'm gonna tighten up and start again..

but basically, I'm working on my set but I want to get hot shyt thats from everywhere. Not just radio neither. Some of the non-mainstream songs I played got a lot of positive reviews. So aside from "My nikka", "Hot nikka" or whatever, what else yall spinning thats getting good feedback?

Also, another problem is they wanted me to play some techno/edm shyt.... I don't have that shyt, AND I asked them before I came through what did they want me to play. They said whatever. I haven't spinned in forever and I prefer to use turntables but I had a CDJ, so my scratches were off time. But now I know to bring everything/anything and hot shyt.

I was also spinning for 5 hours straight :upsetfavre:

bruh... YES

No automix neither... a nikka didn't even take a bathroom break... was sweating and everything.

I stopped giving a fukk what I played near the end though, i was just ready to get the fukk up out of there... and I had to work my real job 2 hours later

I asked my homie how long it was and he said a couple hours, especially since I needed to test the equipment, set up, shake some rust... 5 hours later I'm still there:snoop:

I was more pissed at my transitions... I had forgot how to do some and didn't even had a set. i shot from the hip and scratched to transition. Little bullshyt but still.. And people/females trying to hold conversations with me, people asking for shyt I didn't have.. it was definitely not ideal but a learning experience

and good looking on the music

You dont necessarily need new shyt, if i was in your situation i woulda played some classics (hood classics that is)
I know, I played some older stuff. But I recycled the newer hot songs every couple hours or so.. not at the same time though. I spreaded it out
